Are you an over thinker?

How am I going to do this? Whats the cost? Who should I contact? Who will help me? How will I handle the pressure? What if this actually works? Wait…how am I going to do this and how much is this going to cost?

We all get stuck in this vicious cycle of analysis paralysis. I get it. You don’t want to mess this up. If something really matters to you it can be very scary and sometimes it feels better to let your dreams live in your mind where its safe and where you can do whatever you want to. You can go through the entire process, be successful and for some reason you feel a level of satisfaction at how you have achieved all your dreams. But guess what?? You are dreaming and procrastinating. Stop, just begin!

It is good to dream and I’ve always heard that I am a dreamer and should stop dreaming! Well that is nothing wrong with dreaming. Hell, I am a big advocate of this, however there comes a time where you have to step out of your dreamworld and actually start living your dream. The best way to do that is to just start. Yes you have to plan and yes you have to do research etc., however once you have enough just begin.

I am experiencing this right now. I have never been a blogger. This is the first time and just as I wanted to begin I started to think about everything over and over and over. I’ve decided to stop and just start. Prioritize and execute. I am not claiming to be an expert however history has shown us that it might take many attempts to get things right. The important part though is to just take the leap and begin.

“The secret to getting ahead is getting started.”
